Center my heart upon You Lord
Center my heart upon You
It’s so easy to fall asleep in life
And let the night erase the day
The comfort of not thinking calls my name
It’s so easy to sink this ship I’m sailing on instead
of digging in and rowing through
the storms of life with You
So center my heart, center my soul
Center my strength upon You Lord
Center my mind, center my life
Center my heart upon You
It’s so easy to be the person who
Will take the path that’s effortless
Any time there’s trouble I turn back
And it’s so easy to bless the people who
Reach out to me, the harder thing
Is loving those my instincts say reject
So center my heart, center my soul
Center my strength upon You Lord
Center my mind, center my life
Center my heart upon You
For I would love this life and to see good days
So let me refrain my tongue from evil - my lips from speaking deceit
Let me turn my heart towards You
Let me seek peace and pursue it as I follow You
For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous
And Your ears are open to their prayers
You are open to their prayers
You are open to our prayers
When we center our hearts upon You Lord
We center our hearts upon You
So we center our hearts upon You Lord
We center our hearts upon You

it's such a beautiful album of grieving and loss and acceptance. it speaks to a particular kind of grief -- not a grieving of one who is lost, but the grieving for one who is still present and still causing pain. i love the last song most because while it could end in pain, or end with the narrators decision to permanently push this person out of their life and that would be justified, it doesn't. instead, it offers something. what is offered? acceptance. hope. and a chance for redemption janmisha

This album is perfect-my new favorite shalom sesh! I could listen to this all day, with tea, The Word, near a body of water as the peace of God washes over me. HalleluYah! I really like the lo-fi sound it reminds me of classics(JDilla, even Air). I can certainly feel the inspiration from Japan in this. The more I listen to JO the more I feel his love for Yeshua and it fills me so much love too. Glory to Abba for this beautiful work of art! It is soul medicine:) Shalom shalom Yaaqova
